For dams they are exceptional, indeed unique, because of their capacity for mixing cyclopean concrete with perfect control of the moisture content of the mix. In just 30 seconds mixing time, the mixer produces a perfectly homogeneous and compact mix (free from voids, as confirmed by the specific weight of the end product: between 2.9 and 3.0 t/m3.
Versatility
The same machine can be used for producing all types of concrete for the secondary works, without the need for a second mixing plant.
Wear resistance
As is well-known, mixing causes the aggregate to slide over the metal parts, resulting in wear on the tank and mixing components. In Chillon mixers the metal parts concerned are protected by a particularly effective wear-resistant coating which makes them 10 times more resistant than those of other mixers on the market. Thanks to this special wear-resistant coating Chillon mixers can handle highly abrasive materials such as siliceous and porphyry aggregates.
