The Chillon mixer has proved itself to be extremely versatile and very well-suited for mixing a wide variety of types of material.
Rrecycle blast furnace slag
It is no accident that the first two mixers produced by the newly-founded company ended up in the pilot plant at Ischia di Crociano, in the municipality of Piombino, which has enormous importance from an industrial and ecological point of view. We are talking about the TAP Project (Clean Environmental Technologies): a multipurpose platform for the treatment and recovery of waste and by-products from steelworking. Chillon mixers have been chosen for this project as the most suitable for the process of neutralisation, starting from a mixture of eleven different components, some of them very abrasive, coming from the steel works. From this waste, an aggregate is obtained: a catalysed hydraulic conglomerate, which can be used in particular for road sub-bases.
Cold asphalt
The Chillon mixer can also be used to produce cold asphalt, using material milled from the old road surface and a suitable emulsion.
